California is officially one of my favorite places.

I think it’s safe to say Laguna Beach has stolen my heart.

I recently was lucky enough to travel to this beautiful state for work. Of course I took the opportunity to fly out earlier so I could spend more time there.

Fortunately I had someone to show me around the area… and house me… and feed me… and drive me around. This would be my good friend, @baby_melly. She is way cooler than me and you all should check out her instagram if you have not done so already.

Seriously – how cool is this chick?

In return for her generosity I treated her to a few fro-yo’s and acted as her own personal paparazzi. Even when she didn’t want it – which is kind of the point of paparazzi though, right?

Of course I tortured her into taking pictures of me too. How else would I be able to capture the pure bliss I was feeling there?

Literally every other sentence that came out of my mouth was “so pretty!”

Can you blame me though?

I’m already thinking about when my next trip back out will be. Definitely going to have to make it a longer one this time.

Soon enough I will make my migration west and then I will be able to call this magical place home.

In all seriousness though, definitely add Orange County to your list of places to go. It really is something else.

California is a totally different way of life. Besides being beautiful, it’s all around healthier and makes you feel happier (in my opinion).

Don’t get me wrong, I love New York, but it’s a totally different lifestyle.

Out west there are way more healthier options for food. I know personally when I’m eating healthier more often than not I feel so much better inside and out.

There’s also more sun, which means more Vitamin D, which means happier people.

The vibe there is also more about appreciating life and living in the moment. This is a big change from the hustle and bustle attitude of New York.

I enjoy the grind as much as anyone else, but it’s important to take a break from all that and let yourself unwind… preferably on a beach in Southern California ; )
